Supari

Supari is the Indian adaptation of Street Wars, a water gun
assassination tournament played the world over. In India, it began in Mumbai and will soon come to Delhi. Tarun Durga, one of the creators, calls Supari “a social experiment in the guise of a game”.
Each person who signs up (for Rs 50) gets a supari with the target’s name and contact details. The killer has five days to ‘eliminate’ the target with a water gun or water balloon in real life. The individual will be giving all the details such as the target’s home address, office address and the individual(carrying his Supari documents) can go as a delivery boy. Sales man,etc and attack the target. But he better be careful as he himself maybe the target of many.
The Internet is where people can live their fantasies. Net users can live an edgy double life, and experience the adrenalin rush of doing something dangerous without all the real-world hassles.

Bombay Scottish School (Powai)

The next group that I have chosen to write about is about the school I was from in Mumbai .
Bombay Scottish School(Powai)is the daughter school of the main Bombay Scottish school(Mahim) which is a 183years old and is one of the best schools in Mumbai.
The one in Powai is small and is only 14years old. Like every other school its has classes from the junior kg to the 10th standard and is an ICSE school.
I was in the school for 10years and  naturally became very attached to it. But as time passed the school was like my second home and my teachers and friends were like family. Thus leaving my school was heart breaking as I was leaving behind so many memories and the reason as to what I am today.
Even though I passed out of my school in 2009 being a member of this community helps me be in touch with my home. Almost all my seniors and juniors are a part of this community. Even though the difference between the batches is a lot and , we all come to the same level when there is an announcement of the sports day or the annual concert or an inter house competition and fills us with the same overwhelming emotions. We know each other or not we all fight the same patriotism on the wall for the respective houses when discussions related to the four houses red, yellow, blue or green.
We as a part of alumni are able to also be in touch about the details of the teachers who nurtured us like mothers. Many of them now being members of the group itself..
Even though I am not a very active member it helps me stay connected with my batch mates, juniors and seniors. The group too isn’t very active as such but it gives us a feeling that no matter where we will go or what we will do or always stay connected to our school our home.
